Get to know your trainer! This is such an important part in selecting a trainer or walker for your pup, you need to know that you are getting an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate individual! So I wanted to introduce myself a bit more, I’m Ellie, the face behind Engaged Canine Services! I have been working with dogs for well over 10 years now in a range of different capacities including:

Boarding, Rescue and Working Dog Kennels

Doggy Day Care Settings

Veterinary Practices (both first opinion and referral)

Operational Detection Dog Handling (and assisting with training here)

Volunteering with Therapy Dogs Nationwide

Whilst gaining all of this practical experience I have also been able to develop my education and gain a variety of qualifications including:

BSc BioVeterinary Science (at Royal Veterinary College)

NASDU Qualified Live Body Detection Dog Handler

Qualified Canine First Aid Instructor

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (Human)

Level 3 Diploma in Kennel and Cattery Management

Level 2 Diplomas in Canine Communication and Canine Behaviour and Training

When working with dogs (and people), I believe that you can never stop learning and I have such a passion for dog training that I continue to study independently, both theoretically and through collaborating with other like minded individuals and industry experts, so you know that you are in safe hands with Engaged Canine Services!
